Always Remember Les Glorieux

Red, white and blue:
The colours you see on a hockey rink. The symbolical colours of hockey.
Bleu, blanc et rouge:
They are also the colours, quite fittingly, of the most storied hockey team in the known world.
If you are a Habs fan and, because of the current struggles, have wavered in your loyalty and wondered if you had made the right choice?
Always remember that it is the team of Jean Beliveau, the classiest player in the history of the game.
Always remember the Rocket’s red glare. It is…after all…in our national anthem:
Always remember Le Demon Blond’s flowing locks and ruffling jersey as he flew down the ice:
Always remember that the Canadiens have won the hallowed silver chalice on 24 occasions, eight more times than any other team on the planet:
Always remember that there are 66 former Habs in the Hockey Hall of Fame as players and builders, and two more will be in there soon enough in Carey Price and Shea Weber:
Always remember that the last Canadian hockey team to win the Cup was Les Canadiens in 1993:
Always remember that you cheer for the greatest team in hockey history:
There are better days ahead, Habs fans. Keep the faith and never feel guilty for cherishing the club’s venerable past. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
You free article about retaining Price sold me on a subscription. Not 100% sure I agree, but a great take on the situation. Thanks Grant.
