My first viewing of Poehling in an actual game and I was pleasantly surprised by how well defined his game is already. Smart, supported the play well in all three zones, good skating and good puck distribution. I think his coaches will like this guy very much at every level.

Ikonen’s game is not as mature or structured yet and a little more acceleration would go well with his hands and his quick release. I have a little more trouble projecting what kind of player he can become but I love this pick.

Poehling looks like a pro. May be NHL ready sooner than many think…2-3 years.

I don’t even think he’ll ever see the AHL as his play seems so mature.
Couple of years in the NCAA might be enough.
