McLean’s Pub Call Of The Wilde: Road Trip Finale

March 12, 2018

By Brian Wilde

A long and difficult road trip came to a conclusion tonight in Columbus, Ohio. The Blue Jackets with a huge game for their playoff hopes while for the Habs they’re wounded and hanging on trying to find some healthy bodies. Phillip Danault out of the line-up due to injury – a wise and thoughtful decision considering his recent concussion.

Disagree on Perry I think he is playing his game. Not great not bad. Also Lebrun said Poehling projects as a great 3C or perhaps decent 2C. I think he is wrong but who knows yet.

Google brenden gallaghers girlfriend..wowzah,thats a great reason hes top of his game.congrats all around gally.future habs cappytain!
Benn take the letters benn off his sweater and sew on
WTF insted. Cut bait on this turkey lurkey allready, waive him.oh ya tank job helper,ok keep him til ssns end, then waive byebye benn benn.
Drouin was a over confident cocky kid in sept,oh ya ill light it up.thing is square peg, round hole syndrome. Tavares at center, drouin on his wing with galchenyuk, ohh baby.
At ssns end when the brain fart trust does the ssns end wtf evaluations in huge block capital letters highlighted in neon yellow should be the words
SQUARE PEGS in ROUND HOLES. Cuz in a nutshell thats what derailed the habs this season. Bergy fd up radulov, markov signings filled the spots with panic signings and most played either out of position or a line or 2 or 3 too high up in the lineup.
I dont believe for one hot second that whats needed is a rebuild. A retool is not enough. I think bergys main plan now is overpay to try and land tavares. That wont happen we all know it.even if you throw in free lifetime lap dances at chez paree. Peohling is 2 yrs out.and hes a 2c most likely. Dynamite this joke and hire a president, new gm,modern day offence first coach, new asst coaches, keep waite and youppie. Trade 31 for a hot n ready 1c and a 1st rounder. Trade 67 for a 1d straight up. Draft the best C available in june. Make gallagher the captain.

Some good pieces looking forward but need to rebuild correctly. It would take 4-6 years to restock the system and develop the next draft to be NHL contributors. Goaltending prospects galore. Move Price, move Weber, move Shaw, etc. etc. Live with the pain and get someone in here to do it correctly. In 5 years you have a Cup contender.
