McLean’s Pub Call of the Wilde: Make it 3

November 7, 2017

– The leading goal scorer on the Habs is who? Brendan Gallagher? With seven? That can’t be. This team has Max Pacioretty and Jonathan Drouin and Alex Galchenyuk. Gallagher is within five feet of the net most of the time. That’s where goals are scored. Shots are great too, but even great goal scorers collect garbage. That’s Gallagher – the garbage man. That’s a compliment. It’s no fun getting slashed and cross checked, and Gallagher pays a hard price for it.

– Speaking of getting in the dirty areas, that fellow who no one ever says goes there went there to score a goal. Max Pacioretty parked in front of the net and then waited for some service. The Petry shot was deflected perfectly. Pacioretty with his sixth goal in his 16th game. Last year he needed 25 to get his sixth. Voila. Ne panique pas.

Vegas is the real deal. Happy Habs didn’t face them on fresh legs. As for Weber, I agree. Definitely need to find some help back there. And what can we say about Charlie
    Wow.

Hope that Drouin isn’t out for long.

I’m happy seeing the good turn the Habs have made.

I am really liking Gallagher right now. He is working his ass off and being rewarded for it. Nobody knows what kind of a beating this guy takes every night to make those plays.
