Scherbak Has Surgery

The timing could not be worse for Nikita Scherbak – the first moments of his career that he looks like he belongs at the NHL level and he gets injured seriously enough to need surgery. The Montreal Canadiens released the information via Twitter this morning that Scherbak had surgery on his right knee on Monday morning and that he will be out for six weeks to recover. The Canadiens did not give details of the surgery, nor did they reveal the exact nature of the knee injury.
