A terrific report, Brian. Quietly, unassumingly, highly intelligent and conscientiously thorough.
    I’m very glad I subscribed.

Excellent report Brian. Very excited for this season (but I’m excited for every season). Love the evolving stories of the new guys and kids. Looking forward to seeing Drouin, and hopefully Mete, become fan favs.

Great report Brian, good to be on the winning side of things again, even if it’s only preseason. Either way there are some really strong positives to be taken from last night’s game. To me Galchenyuk is a very key part of this team. If Chucky really plays with effort, determination and engage more deeply in corner battles, the sky is the limit for this guy.
Drouin looks dynamic as expected and Pacioretty looks to be picking up where he left off. Need Lehkonen to get going again and this group of forwards could be fantastic.
If Mete continues to play like he is now when things start to really matter, the D group will be much stronger than expected offensively too. He just changes the way everything falls into place for the better. Petry and Alzner are a pretty solid #2 pairing on any team.
Let’s not forget that much talked about $8.5m that Bergevin has to be creative with either.

You were wondering who else besides Victor Mete might have shone at such a young age. How about Petr Svoboda, who I believe made it at age 19 for the Canadiens.

Great job once again Brian. So glad I signed up. Gonna be a fun ride. As with any team, the season will rely on players playing to their strengths, great coaching and good health. We seem to have better depth than we’ve had in quite some time and maybe a championship caliber club forming in Laval. 8.5 left in cap room is the key. Spend it wisely Bergy!!!

Excellent report Brian. This is the first report I watch as an official recrutes.ca subscriber (just subscribe as a birthday gift after watching a free one, hehe), and I’m glad I did it. It’s easy to see your experience and knowledge in this market, great vulgarisation as well. Looking forward for the season!
