To me, Hudon goal should not be 50/50. It should be a good goal.
Yes there was a small contact. But the goalie was able to move the way he wants and he was able to make the first save. Hudon did not interfere in a way that the goalie was unable to move nor did Hudon drag him or put him off balance.

So to me it should be a good hockey play.

But it seems that nobody realy know how it is called now. At least, the call should be made by the command center. Maybe then we could have some consistancy. NHL must fix that mess.

Ask yourself this question: if every referees, video judge…. were lined up in a test control room, watching the same plays and making a call, what would be their decision be on average?
If at least 80% (should be 95%) of them dont make the same call, then ther IS a serious problem. Sadly league seems satisfy with “randomized callings “
By the way, 50/50 is just another way to say refs have no clue.

I am fine with Alzners goal being disallowed because it was called no goal on the ice and was too close to change. Hudon’s goal should have counted though for sure, called a goal on the ice and very minimal contact should not negate that goal. Whichever ref called Morrow’s penalty should at the very least be suspended or fined! They are not suppose to call a penalty unless they see the whole play, not the “result”
