Could this be calm before the storm? A lot of people are reporting Bergevin is trying to make a trade.

The only thing I disagree with is Montoya/Lindgren.

It must be a pretty exciting for Mete to experience this! He deserves it. He’s had a great camp.

I’m astonished at the lack of updates of Schlemko. A bit odd to have him out for a bit, being told he’d be playing during training camp to skating on his own. It’s just weird.

      Come to think of it.

Mete has a great camp. It’s great to see him achieve his dream of playing in the NHL.

Did he make the team because he’s that good. Or is it just indicative of how poor the blue line options are in Montreal. Would a 19 year old find this much success on D elsewhere?

He was the best defenceman at the entire camp. This is a valid comment if the player in question was the 5th or 6th best then he beat out other lousy players. Mete was the BEST player at camp. So of course he made the team.

With that said , I don’t like the 6th D d right now and I also think someone better step up soon and play better. Davidson and Morrow has bad camps and remain in Montreal as extras.

The Habs kind of blew this one I think. They usually say upper body and leave it at that. Here they said hand so now they’re obviously worried that people will hack that hand. And now they’re back to not being forthright which is the way it should be — for the player and the organization. Media get mad that they don’t get the open truth but if I didn’t have to say if I were running a team no way I give up info that could potentially hurt my player
