By Brian Wilde

Certainly a pride game for the Habs as they welcomed the best team in the NHL the Lightning. Here’s Brian Wilde’s post-game thoughts.

Great comment at the end Brian. So many people saying they should tank but real fans only want one thing…100% honest effort from everyone (and as many wins as this can bring)…the draft be dammed – this is hockey and the object is to win!

    Yay,won a game..but phew still in the bottom 5 as of fri.am

    The Race To The Bottom
    26th-edm..39pts
    ———————–
    Draft lottory contestants:
    27th-Habs..38pts
    28th-vanc..37pts
    29th-ott..33pts
    30th-buff..29pts
    31st-arz..25 pts
We must keep losing to stay in the bottom 5,a half azz and a donut short run til april wont help our chance of a top five pick, must LOSE to rebuild properly.

What hockey has becomed. Ok im 54. Guess im old school.when i compare the hard hitting, monster body checks, the odd scrap, push a guy out of the crease, defend your team mate hockey of yester year to todays game of touch hockey,no slashing,no checking,no hitting,no fighting,no pushing,no defend ur linemate game of today.i prefer yesterdecades game.todays game has gotten to p.c ,to polite.
I watched yesterdays game no one hits the opponents anymore, watch this, they skate up to the opponent and get close to,lil stick tap by them and thats it. Its this yrs rule of the no slashing sticks that totaly changed the game to p.c hockey.no player knew whats a penalty, whats not,so as a result, the players backed off everything,no hitting, slashing etc.pu__y hockey. I hate it.gone too far. The shootouts a joke, should be 3 on 3 til theres a winner who gets the 2 pts, loser zero pts. The game is ruined.the draft lotto permits tanking, its happening,no tank is a tabboo word, never happens,ya right. The allmighty dollar ruined the game, players played for the crest on the front, not how many tax $ they pay. No touch gary bettman basketball rules p.c hockey now.
