Brian Wilde has worked in hockey since he was 20. He was the rink side host for the Edmonton Oilers at CTV and Ottawa Senators for Sportsnet. He was also lead reporter on the Montreal Canadiens for 17 years at CTV Montreal.

    All four players were very interesting to hear from.

    Any chance of an occasional video of their interviews as well?

      Steve this an outstanding question. The answer sadly is no for now. The Canadiens don’t want cameras in there as much as possible. We are allowed to make these video files when we do Rocket games. For Habs games, the Habs have asked that they be audio only for us. However, this could be temporary. They are looking at it as time passes to see if the camera situation and space eases going forward. So for now they are audio. Perhaps one day they’ll be video. The Habs have been really good to us. I am very grateful that they have granted Recrutes the first web site accreditation in the history of the franchise. That’s quite an achievement. If they say ‘for now just audio’ I answer thank you very much for everything. And thank you for your understanding too.

        Oh no problem! I’ve learned so much about the ins and outs of the Habs reporting profession, and the behind the scenes set up. Just a bit of curiosity on my part. It was something I never knew – although I always suspected it to be “particular” if that makes sense.

        Again – Recrutes is great. It’s exactly what I need. The lack of video in the locker room does not deter me from listening to these clips.

        Now, I have to say that I’m excited to hear Weber speaking of Mete in the way he did. What a solid defenceman to have as a mentor.
