Habs Slay a Duck

February 3, 2018

By Brian Wilde

The Habs have been hard pressed to get one goal recently. Apparently they were saving them up. Here’s Brian Wilde from the Bell Centre.

About Brian Wilde

Brian Wilde has worked in hockey since he was 20. He was the rink side host for the Edmonton Oilers at CTV and Ottawa Senators for Sportsnet. He was also lead reporter on the Montreal Canadiens for 17 years at CTV Montreal.

Great insight on that rutherford smoke n mirrors show he pulled of with kabrele if bergys doing that with alzner now then bergys not the %#%% ive been calling him for months. Thing is alzner himself isnt reading the script with that mistake today you pointed out.
Phew..glad drouins not badly hurt, better check the lost n found cuz drouin and lehkonen have lost their game.
Fn right go eagles go…any guy who allready has written his mvp speech deserves to get blown out tomm.

Looking at Alzner, he seems too heavy (218lbs) for this NHL. He would benefit from a summer conditioning program aimed at trimming some exrtra fat. If that doesn’t help, then you move him.

Good one Brian, also Juulsen could be added next year on that blue line no? (Depending how he fairs at training camp…)

Absolutely. Thank you. Yes I should have totally mentioned him. So my blue line of the future is

Mete Weber Petry The top 5 pick Juulsen and Brook.

Sure like that one better than this one.

Indeed, that defence looks stellar in comparison.

Great synopsis, Brian. What I do not understand is why Logan Shaw is dressed instead of Daniel Carr. Granted Shaw plays center and Carr is a left winger. Shaw will never be more than a 4th line center while Carr sits. With a playoff berth for the the Habs now a dream, Carr, unless he has minor booboos, should be in the lineup for the rest of the season. I’ve watched him play for the Rocket in Belleville and he is NHL ready. Am I missing something here?

I would like to see Carr play. I agree.
