Weber Not Close To Returning

February 19, 2018

By _1ben2_

The Montreal Canadiens best point per game player this season is a defenceman, and he accomplished this unusual feat while playing his entire season injured. Shea Weber injured his left foot on opening night taking a shot off it. He persevered when the team needed him to simply stay in the battle after a horrendous start. When things got even dimmer and the injury wasn’t healing, the club was forced to shut him down. A half a season later, and the news is no better.

Overall im really getting turned off by hockey, the nhl keeps tinkering to death with rules. The 3 on 3 is a gimmick, whats wrong with ties. Im glad the redlines gone it opens up the game, but now the new slashing rule has put the nail in the ruff tuff physical hockey game as we knew it. Know one knew what was a penalty in oct,so physical hockey just stopped all together. Body checking is way down, its become a politiclly correct excuse me sir kind of game. Cant defend a goalie getting bowled over, cant clear the crease,or you can bit ahhh thats a penalty. Hockeys become less intense physcilly.when you were down you would start a fight get your team charged up,thats obsolete now. Tanking is the dirty word no one talks about but is surely happening, leaving us all with half azz hockey as teams tank to get a top five pick, like habs now. Whats wrong with the habs the radio and all say now…whats really wrong is the draft lotto system, teams sit vets that may help a team become more competative, vet goalies playing like ray charles, other vets on the block draggin thier ass cuz a trades inevitable. The habs fn lie to us when we know better.
Im so sick of it all. And it can all be fixed with 1 easy rule tweek. Make a 15 teams that dont make the playoffs go into a hat,and draw one at a time 15-1 theres your draft system. This shuts down tanking and then we all get to see 100% honest pure games til ssns end.

If a player from the usa comes to montreal he gets paid in u.s money right? Ok so when you exchange or convert that usa paychq into cdn dollars arent you getting 30% more? Add to that the relatively low cost of living in mtl..id say you end up way ahead playing in montreal !! Dont buy that idea of wanting to play in u.s to get more $
